Local 258 IBEW is pleased to announce that its newest Master Collective Agreement, covering members working at Davey Tree Expert Co. of Canada, and Kootenay Complete Tree Service, has been ratified. We sincerely thank all members who took the time to vote.

This is the first time Local 258 has successfully negotiated a master agreement for the utility vegetation sector, and it is major milestone for the industry in British Columbia. It marks the beginning of higher wages, better working conditions, and stronger recognition for utility arborists across the province.

Over the coming year, your Union will be focused on growing its presence in the utility vegetation sector by organizing non-union contractors and working to add other unionized contractors to the master agreement, while continuing to strengthen working conditions and raise standards for all current members. This agreement is a foundation we can build on—toward a more unified sector and the potential for broader, industry-wide improvements.
