Local 258 IBEW Announces Project Labour Agreement with Valard Construction for Enbridge Aspen Point 287kV Project

Langley, BC — Local 258 is announcing that we have entered into a Project Labour Agreement with Valard Construction for the Enbridge Aspen Point 287kV transmission project. Valard Construction was the successful bidder on this project.

Local 258 Submits Open Letter to Minister of Labour

October 15, 2025 LANGLEY, B.C. — Local Union 258 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers has submitted an open letter to the Honourable Jennifer Whiteside, Minister of Labour, calling for an immediate investigation into a BC Hydro contract awarded to a contractor who utilizes out-of-province labour.

BC Hydro Bargaining Update – Negotiations Resume in November

In Loving Memory of Mike Perry
