How to apply to become a member of Local 258 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers: Online: Click here to complete the IBEW Application for Membership form. In Person: Local 258 IBEW Note: Local 258 will require your full SIN number. Please provide your full SIN when you pay your initiation fee and/or your monthly dues. You do not need to pay any fees at this point. You will receive further information regarding the payment of initiation fees and monthly dues once your application has been processed. There are two types of membership: an "A" or a "BA" member. A member: Participates in the IBEW Pension Benefit Fund and is entitled to a death benefit. A Member Initiation Fee: $17.00 BA Member Initiation Fee: $10.00 Payment options include: credit card payment by phone - call the Local 258 IBEW Union Hall at 604-520-3305 or toll-free 1-877-520-3305 (Monday to Friday 9:00am to 3:00pm); if you are coming into the Union Hall to make a payment in person, you can pay by Visa, Mastercard, or Debit. We also now accept e-transfers. DO NOT SEND CREDIT CARD INFORMATION BY EMAIL - PLEASE PHONE THE UNION OFFICE WITH CREDIT CARD INFORMATION OR TO ARRANGE AN E-TRANSFER AT 604-520-3305 or toll-free 1-877-520-3305. Please note: Initiation fees are waived for people who have signed support cards to unionize their employer. Unemployed dues for "A" members are $44.50/month (current 2024) - 3 months = $133.50
