The Local 258 IBEW Union Hall will be closed over the holidays between December 23rd and January 2nd. Our office will reopen on January 3, 2023. On behalf of the Officers, Executive Board and Staff of Local 258 we would like to wish all members and your families a very Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year.

BC Hydro Tentative Agreement Conference Call:

This past week, on December 20th, your Local Union hosted a conference call for members working at BC Hydro to discuss the terms of the tentative contract. The bargaining committee would like to thank the membership who participated in the call. We understand that not everybody was able to participate in the call, so your Local Union has now posted the recording of the explanation about the tentative agreement on your Local Union’s website. BC Hydro Tentative Agreement Voting Info:

On Friday December 23rd members will receive an email from IBEW 258 from the email address: vote@simplyvoting.com that will include a link to review the entire Memorandum of Agreement (MOA). If you don’t receive that email, please check your junk folder. If that email is not in your junk folder, please contact your ABM. Members can expect a FAQ to be posted on your Local Union website soon. Signing up to the Local Union website is for communications only and is not related to voting. On January 6th at noon voting will open and on January 24th at noon voting will close. Members are encouraged to read the MOA and attend theJanuary Unit Meetings to discuss this tentative agreement.
