Our Local 258 IBEW Women’s Committee is supporting the United Way’s Period Promise campaign, presented by Pacific Blue Cross. The campaign is committed to making it easier for everybody to access the menstrual product they need when they need it. Every donation of tampons, pads, cups, or underwear raises awareness, reduces stigma, and tackles the vulnerability and isolation caused by period poverty. And financial contributions help the campaign purchase product and get it to the people in our community who need it.
The Period Promise campaign runs until June 7, 2022 and our Women’s Committee is asking everybody to be a part of the solution. It’s easy to help.
- Drop off donated product at the Union Hall. We will get it to the United Way where they will quickly get into the hands of somebody who needs it;
- Financial gifts make it possible for the campaign to purchase tampons, pads, cups, and underwear. Make a financial donation here.
