Varied start times for members working at BC Hydro extended for MMBU and GMS only

July 10, 2020 - The time-limited agreement between Local 258 IBEW and BC Hydro in a Letter of Understanding for varied start times for Line Field Operations has now expired after being extended to the end of June.

MMBU and GMS have asked for variation in start times in order to achieve social distancing due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the Union has agreed, signing workplace specific LOU’s extending to 31 August 2020 when they will be reviewed.

If there is a headquarter that requires varied start times in order to achieve social distancing, please contact your Shop Steward, Doug McKay or any of the Local 258 IBEW Assistant Business Managers to discuss your specific situation.
