March 13, 2020 - In an abundance of caution and following recommendations from BC’s and Canada’s health authorities' responses to the evolving Coronavirus and COVID-19 pandemic, Local 258 IBEW is cancelling all Unit meetings, effective today and until further notice.
Please remember to frequently wash your hands and practice social distancing. Workers with symptoms of acute respiratory illness are encouraged to use sick leave* and stay home.

* UPDATE: March 13, 2020 - Information about the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic situation is evolving at a rapid rate as governments and public health officials work to manage this crisis.
Workers need to be prepared and are encouraged to consult with their respective employers to review sick leave policies in your worplace.
In addition, for workers with limited sick leave benefits, the Federal Government has revised eligibility requirements for Employment Insurance sick benefits - information is available here.
