We all know times have been trying and everyone’s lives have been affected in one way or another by the COVID-19 pandemic. The NextGen Committee at Local 258 IBEW’s sister Local in Port Coquitlam, Local 213, has come up with an innovative way to help keep many of us connected in these challenging times and invites IBEW members from across Canada who enjoy gaming to enter a team into the first IBEW 213 Cyber Games competition. It’s a great way to stay connected, keep competitive, have fun, win prizes, and safely socially distance at home. And it all goes live on June 20th!
Here’s what you need to know.
• What is it? IBEW Local 213 will be hosting the IBEW’s first internal E-Sports Tournament!
• When? June 20th, 2020 REGISTRATION FOR THIS EVENT IS NOW CLOSED

• Team Size: 3 players each. Can’t find 3 people? Name your team “Solidarity”, enter the players you have and we’ll pair you with others to form your team.
• Will it be streamed? Of course! Stay tuned for details.
• What Game? Rocket League (It’s cross console. PC, XBOX, Nintendo Switch & PS4 can all play against each other!)
Teams will be 3 players each. Can’t find 3 people? Name your team “Solidarity”, enter the players you have and IBEW 213 will pair you with others to form your team.
Do you have what it takes to be crowned champion of all 81 Locals in IBEW Canada?
