News update: Revised agreement for members working at BC Hydro - February, 2020

February 4, 2020 - Taking the lead with responding to members’ serious concerns, including potential job action, Doug McKay, Business Manager/Financial Secretary of Local 258 IBEW, has met with the employer and has secured a proposal for a three-year agreement with wage raises of 2% in each year, retroactive to April 1, 2019.
McKay is now prepared to sign the revised agreement. Local 258 IBEW members working at BC Hydro can contact their ABMs or Brother McKay if they have questions, and can phone the Local 258 IBEW office directly at 604-520-3305 or toll-free at 1-877-520-3305.
The new contract will expire in 2022, when the Union will return to the bargaining table.
