Local 258 IBEW members who have registered a member account on the Union’s website have now received an email invitation to join the Union’s first Virtual Town Hall membership meeting taking place on Thursday, February 11, 2021, from 7:00 to 8:30 pm.
Hosted by Business Manager/Financial Secretary Doug McKay, this ‘unofficial’ membership meeting will take place using Microsoft Teams software and participants will need to have a computer device and an internet connection to access the interactive broadcast.
“Unfortunately, we haven’t been able to gather in our traditional ways, including at Unit meetings, since the COVID-19 pandemic was declared last March,” says McKay. “Although this interactive video meeting can’t replace seeing one another in person, it’s intended as an opportunity to connect, provide updates, answer any questions you may have and engage in some good discussion.”
Current members who don’t have an account on the Union’s website are invited to register for one today. All new registrants will receive an invitation to join the meeting prior to the registration deadline on Thursday, February 11 at noon. Click here to register an account.
Members who have responded to the invitation indicating they will be joining us will receive the link for the meeting, including all details and guidelines, on the day of the meeting, February 11, 2021.
