January 3, 2022 – As the New Year gets underway, the local 258 IBEW Union Hall is adapting to the recent rapid rise in cases of COVID-19 due to the highly transmissible Omicron variant. Business Manager Brother Doug McKay has announced that if you plan on visiting the Union Hall in Langley, including the Dispatch office, you must now call ahead and schedule an appointment.
“Your health and safety and the health and safety of our staff are of primary importance,” says Brother McKay. “With the increasing transmission rate and confirmed cases of COVID-19 rising quickly in our communities this policy will be in effect until further notice.”
Staffing levels have been reduced with administrative support staff remaining on-site following all safety protocols. Assistant Business Managers are available working from home.
When visiting the office, all visitors will have to follow the mandatory health & safety protocols and instructions including wearing a face mask and using our complimentary hand sanitizer. You will also be required to complete a COVID-19 questionnaire.
Cloth masks and hand sanitizer are available at our front desk.
