In the past weeks we have watched the horrific events in Ukraine unfold. Russia’s unprovoked invasion of Ukraine has sent a shockwave throughout the world. However, at a time when there has been much division over pandemic policies, the world has united in their unwavering support for the people of Ukraine. The Canadian Red Cross has set up a Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis Appeal donation page. I encourage all of you to donate whatever you can to this fund. 

Canada is home to 1.4 million people of Ukrainian descent, some of whom are IBEW members. We as the IBEW condemn these acts of violence and stand in solidary with the people of Ukraine. This is an extremely difficult time for our Ukrainian-Canadian population, and I ask that you continue to provide support in any way you can.
