Updated On: Jul 210, 2022

POSTED APRIL 19, 2022

The collective agreement with BC Hydro expired on March 31, 2022, and your Union’s Bargaining Committee met with this employer’s representatives on April 11, 12 and 13, 2022. We are scheduled for our second session of bargaining April 20 and 21st

“We look forward to hammering out a deal that will include bringing relief to the financial challenges our members are facing with rising costs for everything from gas to food,” says Brother Doug McKay, Local 258 IBEW Business Manager/Financial Secretary.  BC Hydro has not tabled anything on the Vaccine Policy and we will not be entering into discussion during bargaining around this topic.

Additional members of the BC Hydro negotiating committee are: Dave McMinn, Local 258 IBEW President; Jim Greenwell, Sr. Assistant Business Manager; Joey Sutherland, Sr. Assistant Business Manager; Rob Munro, Assistant Business Manager; Lori MacLean, Assistant Business Manager; Dean Kotaras, Unit 3 Chair; Larry Byhre, Local 258 Treasurer; Donna Donnan, Outage Scheduler; Dave Herrington, System Operator; Matt Hahn, PLT; and Nick Brigden, CPC Foreman. Lead Negotiator is Garnett Zimmerman of GZ Mediation.
